About our academic speakers:
Dr Magdalena Zawisza, is a consumer psychologist at ARU. She has over ten years of experience in researching advertising, brand image and consumer issues more generally in national and global context. She is a co-editor of The Routledge International Handbook of Consumer Psychology, an editor of MediaMatters Facebook page and a Programme Leader for MSc Consumer Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. She employs her expertise in her consultancy Insights: Brand, Advertising & Society set for businesses, government and charitable organisations. Her research has been published in peer review journals and her work has attracted media attention from The Independent, BBC and Newsweek among others.’

‘Consumer Psychology of Innovation’ – How do you introduce a new, innovative, product or brand into the increasingly saturated globalised markets? How is innovation perceived and diffused amongst consumers? What advertising and branding strategies may be best? Dr Magdalena Zawisza will discuss these questions from consumer psychology perspective.

Dr Nektarios Tzempelikos is senior Lecturer in marketing and IIMP Research Fellow in the Lord Ashcroft International Business School, Anglia Ruskin University. His research interests include key account management, relationship marketing, customer value and business-to-business marketing. His research has been published in the Industrial Marketing Management (3*ABS), the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing (2*ABS), the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing (2*ABS), the Journal of Strategic Marketing (2*ABS), and the Journal of Relationship Marketing (1*ABS) among others. He is member of the editorial board of the Industrial Marketing Management (3*ABS), Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing (2*ABS) and the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing (2*ABS).  

'Building business-to-business relationships' - What are the main differences between business-to-business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) markets? Why building close, long-lasting customer relationships is particularly important in B2B? The case of key accounts. Dr Nektarios Tzempelikos will discuss these questions from a buyer/seller marketing perspective.
