Briefing by the Leader of Cambridge City Council
Wednesday 29 November, 5.30 – 7pm, Council Chamber, Guildhall, Cambridge CB2 3QJ
Councillor Lewis Herbert, Leader of the Cambridge City Council, will provide an update and answer questions on critical issues for Cambridge where the City Council and its partnerships are delivering for Cambridge businesses and the community.   
1 ) The Council’s budget position and overall priorities for the next three years
  • including major capital investment plans and the delivery of 500 extra council homes in the City.
2) Planning and growth issues for Cambridge and Greater Cambridge
  • including our two Local Plans, the work of the Greater Cambridge Partnership and wider securing of infrastructure investment and proposals to the National Infrastructure Commission/Government.
3) Delivery by the Mayoral Combined Authority for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough (CA)
  • including prospects of particular benefit for Cambridge and wider opportunities to the whole area from devolution and joint delivery.  Lewis also leads on Spatial Planning for the CA.
