Cambridge Intelligent Buildings Meetup

Bradfield Centre
 Cambridge Science Park, CB4 OGF
12 October 2017
6:30-9:00

Join us for third CIB meetup at the brand-new Bradfield Centre on 12 October.

A chance to look around one of the newest co-working spaces in Cambridge, grab a beer, network with some lovely people and hear another perspective on how tech is influencing our built environment.

Our plan for the evening:

We'll keep the speaking fairly brief to make sure everyone has a good chance to get to know each other.

6.30 - grab a drink or a snack, say hello to someone new.

7.15 - Introduction - Hermione.

7.25. Dr Alan Hart, Plumis - Putting a price on safety: innovation, markets and regulation post Grenfell.

Just like anything in the construction industry, fire safety must be specified, bought and paid for. Is our market broken? And how can it balance safety and innovation in the built environment?

Dr Alan Hart, NED at Plumis, talks about his experience in selling innovation in sprinkling systems.

7.45 - networking and discussions.

8.30 - go home, or continue our conversations at a local pub.
