This major one day conference and exhibition will bring together angel investors, investment funds, leading academics and experts, businesses and entrepreneurs with market ready technologies for a series of panel sessions and discussions related to growth in cleantech, and the part investors play.

The conference will also disseminate the findings of a new research study into how angel investors approach green/cleantech conducted by Dr Tiago Botelho.

To demonstrate the importance of the sectors, businesses connected to the Low Carbon Innovation Fund will be exhibiting their innovative technologies and products.

Cleantech and green are growth sectors, however, research into how angel investors approach these sectors has, as yet, been unexplored. This session will disseminate the participants views on investing in green/clean opportunities.

13.15 Panel session: How do angel groups see green/clean opportunities?

A panel of gatekeepers of six UK angel groups will present and discuss their perspective and experiences of investing in green/cleantech opportunities. This discussion will address a wide range of issues faced by the angel groups.

14.45 Coffee / Exhibition / Networking

15.15 Panel session: What are the challenges for green/cleantech entrepreneurs?

A panel of cleantech entrepreneurs will provide their perspective and experiences focussing on the challenges and solutions that green entrepreneurs face with setting up a business in this space.

16.00 Panel session: The green/clean entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This session will include accelerators, incubators and venture capital funds to discuss the particular challenges and needs of growing businesses in the space.
