Buyer profile

What is their business?

Euroshore promotes and fosters the interests of companies that are active in the area of ship waste management. To this end, Euroshore informs and supports its members by monitoring, and reviewing the ongoing dialogue both at the regional and the international level on management and handling of ship waste. Euroshore has amongst others been closely involved in the development and implementation of the European Directive (2000/59/EC) on Port receptions facilities for ship-generated waste and cargo-residues. One of Euroshores major objectives is enhancing the capabilities of Euroshore members for providing the shipping industry with adequate and environmentally sound waste management services. Being founded in 1998, Euroshore has members in Belgium, Gibraltar, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Estonia, Malta, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

Euroshore, together with its company members MAC2, Eurowaste, MTD nv, ZMCleaning and Martens Cleaning, are looking for:

1. on-shore, scrubber water* treatment technology and infrastructure. The scrubber water treatment process must be flexible in order to handle both corrosive, low pH effluent, as well NaOH-neutralized effluent and sludge residues that are obtained in case of closed loop mode.
2. on-shore, ballast water* treatment technology and infrastructure. The installation must be capable of treating ballast water with high sediment loading, knowing that the current UVbased technology gives unsatisfactory results for highly loaded ballast water.

A non-exhaustive list for possible (partial) cleantech solution(s) contains (but is not limited to):
improved scrubber technology, exhaust gas cleaning systems, tank storage, water treatment technologies (dewatering, physicochemical treatment, thickening, precipitation, sedimentation, filtration, separation, … ) and combustion technology.
