The cleantech start-ups who have been selected in the first round of judging will get the chance to pitch for game-changing funding at the event, which will bring together 20 of the leading Cleantech companies from across the UK and Europe with individual and corporate investors. Companies will have the opportunity to pitch to an audience of experienced investors and corporate innovation leaders, all looking for investment or collaboration opportunities in emerging clean technologies.
Investors attending the event include representatives from venture funds such as the IP Group, Greenbackers, Cornucopia Capital and Inven Capital, and corporate innovation arms such as LafargeHolcim, Statoil and E.on.
Since the event began in Helsinki in 2006, over 200 companies have pitched for funding, attracting €500 million in investment. In its 11th year the Cleantech Venture Day is bringing its track record of success in Europe to London for the first time, through a collaboration between Cambridge Cleantech and the Nordic Innovation Accelerator.
Martin Garratt, CEO of Cambridge Cleantech, commented: “We have been delighted with the high quality of submissions for the Cleantech Venture Day, which demonstrates the depth of highly innovative talent in the cleantech cluster in the Cambridge region and beyond. We are looking forward to an exciting and enthralling event.”
The Cleantech Venture Day will take place on the 30-31st October 2017. For more information contact Sophie Meuwissen at email@example.com.
