VENUE: Hewitsons LLP, Kildare House, 3 Dorset Rise, London, EC4Y 8EN
Energy is rarely out of the news. Whether it is the Government’s commitment to zero net carbon emissions by 2050 and the consequent drive to replace conventional power with renewable energy, the growth of electric vehicles or the risk of blackouts, energy is at the top of the agenda. Join Hewitsons LLP for a seminar which will look at the energy industry as the country moves into the next decade and we will explore opportunities for investors, developers, landowners and others.

Attendees will hear from the following speakers:

  • Mark Sommerfeld, Policy Manager, The Renewable Energy Association. Mark will speak on renewable energy policy and future developments in the field of renewables.
  • Neil Budd of Budd Legal. Budd Legal is a niche law firm specialising in energy and infrastructure projects. Neil will speak on current trends in energy and project development in the UK.
  • Nick Fothergill and Simon Wain of Hewitsons. Nick and Simon between them have many years’ experience advising on transactions involving renewable energy and conventional power. They will cover recent trends and developments in investment transactions and project construction in the UK energy sector.
  • Daniel Atzori Research Partner at Cornwall Insight, who will speak on the crucial role that market forces are set to play in the decarbonisation of the UK economy.

Registration for the event will start at 16:30 with the seminar beginning promptly at 17:00. The seminar will conclude after a Q&A panel at 18:30.
