Shell’s open innovation programmes seek to partner with creative people, companies and organisations from diverse backgrounds to innovate new and better ways to unlock energy sources and meet the growing world demand.

Shell StartUp Engine UK is a partnership between Unreasonable Group and Shell UK to support growth stage ventures that are best positioned to accelerate the UK’s energy transition. Initially a 12 month pilot program, the pilot will support two cohorts of 8-15 ventures by providing them with the resources, mentorship, and global network of support they need to rapidly scale.

TechWorks is Shell’s influential innovation center based in Boston, MA that focuses on rapidly identifying, de-risking, and developing new technologies across the business. Our diverse group of technical experts and entrepreneurial business leaders from outside Oil & Gas help Shell find the right solutions to the right problems.



A new programme for UK energy start-ups as part of our contribution to society.
