“I am always excited to see the range of new businesses that apply for Cleantech Venture Day, and proud to see quite a few familiar ones participating! Allia and Cambridge Cleantech work closely on the crucial agenda to bring new solutions to the climate crisis, and events like these are rare glimpses into a potential clean, green future,” said Emma Mee, Programme Manager at Allia Future Business Centre and one of the judges at Cleantech Venture Day.

Previous companies that have pitched and successfully raised investment include Airex, Cheeky Panda, Oxwash, 8Power and Echion Technologies. At our last edition in March, we facilitated over 60 one-to-one meetings with start-ups that were requested by investors, and many of these meetings led to successful outcomes for both parties. This is the fifth year running that Cambridge Cleantech is hosting Cleantech Venture Day in the UK.

Along with pitches from the start-ups, we will be hearing from keynote speaker Dr Stephanie Hussels, Director of the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship. Dr. Hussels has a passion for early stage and growth companies and headed Cranfield University’s Business Growth Programme, the longest established owner-manager programme in the UK.

This event would not have been possible without the support of our partners Oxfordshire Greentech, Clean Growth UK, Business Isle of Man, J A Kemp, Granted, Allia Future Business Centre, Birketts, Consensus Business Group, KISS, Wallonia and GreenWin, Catax, Cheeky Panda, S-Tech, and Yangzhou Innovation Centre.

Investors who have registered for the event will be able to preschedule meetings with startups. Contact us at admin@cambridgecleantech.org.uk if you would like to book a session with one of the pitching companies.
