About Green Unit


We strive for the continuous sustainable improvement of our modular eco-buildings through our production processes, sustainable materials, and the renewables that we use. This way we can ensure that we’re at the cutting edge of modular design and construction. We’ve been awarded a 2.5 year Innovate UK grant and our Research and Development department is now collaborating with PhD level qualified engineers at Oxford Brookes University’s Architectural Engineering Research Group.

But our approach to sustainability is not just about our eco-buildings: it is rippled throughout the entire business. We try hard to not only reduce our environmental impact, but to create a positive environmental change in everything we do.

We’ve adopted the One Planet Living framework to guide our sustainability plan across the whole of the Green Unit business.


The role


This is a new and pivotal role within the Sales and Marketing team at Green Unit. (Account management / customer relationships / sales – with a passion for sustainability)

The core responsibility of the role is to focus on building relationships and delivering an excellent customer experience to all Green Unit customers (including potential and existing customers) in order to deliver sales opportunities for the company to support its ambitious growth plans.

Sustainability runs through the heart of Green Unit, and this role will also be responsible for delivering Green Unit’s sustainability plan. Because sustainability is important to our customers, we are looking for a person who can live and breathe Green Unit’s own corporate sustainability plan, which will be an important element in how this is communicated to our customer base. This role suits someone who is friendly, well-rounded, commercially minded, and above all has a passion for sustainability and low carbon endeavour. As the role requires speaking with a range of different people daily – especially within a B2B environment – you will need to be confident and a strong communicator.

You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and you’ll need to be adaptable and willing to take on new challenges from time to time.





  • Being first point-of-contact for customers at all stages of their customer journey
  • Creating and implementing Green Unit’s sustainability plan using the One Planet Living framework (see below)
  • Managing customer enquiries (using the CRM), effectively identifying qualified leads, and acting as the main point of contact for all customer leads to successfully guide them through the sales process to design commitment stage
  • Be proactive in analysing and reviewing the customer sales process, and identifying new ways to generate leads with an emphasis on communicating Green Unit’s environmental commitments.
  • Using insights gained from the sales process to inform the company’s marketing activities to continually provide a better experience for the customer
  • Be responsible for managing CPD sessions with architects and other construction professionals (both virtual and physical)
  • Assisting in managing company sales events such as factory site open days and CPD sessions with a range of stakeholders
  • Maintaining up-to-date references in key databases, e.g. media lists
  • Take ownership of day-to-day monitoring of social media accounts
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in maintaining the company’s marketing activities from time-to-time, for instance social media, website content, email marketing, events, campaign activity, and reporting.
