CAMBRIDGE, 4th March 2022: Cambridge Cleantech and Oxfordshire Greentech are accelerating the race to net zero with a pitch opportunity for climate positive SMEs at Cleantech Venture Day, to be held in London and online on the 18th and 19th May 2022.
The 2-day event will give the climate positive businesses looking for funding the opportunity to pitch to over 60 investors, saving them considerable time and resources. It is well known that looking for funding is time intensive, Cleantech Venture Day makes it easier for cleantech companies to connect with investors.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for cleantech SMEs and businesses seeking to secure seed, Series A or B funding, as well as for experienced fund managers, business angels, and corporate investors eager to invest in disruptive climate positive technologies. Through pre-matched meetings between innovators and investors, we bring you the opportunity to build the right connections from London on the 18th and from the comfort of your homes on the 19th.
Day 1 consists of a briefing event for investors, followed by an evening reception with some of the pitching SMEs as well as other innovative SMEs from our network. This will be hosted by our sponsor Choose Paris Region. Day 2 will be the pitching event where you will hear from the top 24 investment-ready disruptive businesses.
Over the past 15 years, over 250 companies have pitched at the event and more than 650 million euros have been invested as a result. This year, the 24 pitching companies will be carefully selected by an external jury and will receive extensive expert pitch presentation training to maximise their chances of gaining funding.
Our last pitching-and-investment event featured cleantech SMEs in specific areas, but this year we are inviting all types of cleantech companies to apply, as long as they offer a solution to tackle the climate emergency.
If you are a cleantech start-up looking for seed, Series A, or B investment, apply to pitch at Cleantech Venture Day today.
“Investing in ES G is at an all-time high and the Cleantech Venture Day event helps the race to zero by offering investors a chance to discover 24 innovative business solutions in which to invest. Over the last 5 years we have helped the pitching companies secure £135m of investment” said Martin Garratt, CEO of Cambridge Cleantech
“Cleantech Venture Day is an opportunity for the cleantech community to support start-ups from various backgrounds and we strongly encourage female founders and entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds to apply.” said Sylvie Russell, Operations Manager at Cambridge Cleantech.
“Pitching at Cleantech Venture Day was brilliant for us. We were lucky enough to get interest from a number of investors and are looking to close a round with a large fund shortly. The event was also great fun and gave us invaluable visibility, and the opportunity to meet peers and investors in our space. If you’ve got a solution to reduce the environmental impact we have on our planet, I would definitely recommend attending and applying to pitch!” said Rob King, CEO of Zedify.
“The quality and range of investment opportunities showcased at CVD is always impressive. As a partner in the project we have found many opportunities to engage with innovative SMEs and support their journey to market. Events like CVD keep our hopes for a bright sustainable future alive and well!” said Mark Riminton, Business Development Manager, Clean Growth UK.
