Cambridge Cleantech was appointed by the Cambridge & Peterborough Combined Authority to understand the fitness of the innovation ecosystem across the region to support the emerging net zero-aligned agritech and nascent clean-tech sectors.

This brief was to include mapping the elements and processes in place that enable the region’s success in biotech and information technology sectors, to see how these can be applied to support low carbon innovation. Specifically, Cambridge Cleantech was asked to consider the generation and communication of ideas; companies scaling and evolution; and the role of key ecosystem players within the success stories.

As part of the process, Cambridge Cleantech ran some primary research and conducted a workshop with key players in the Cleantech and Agritech sectors. The project is still on-going.
